- 油画是用亚麻仁油或核桃油、罂粟油等一些快干油及经过处理的玛蒂树脂或达玛树脂等，调合各种颜色粉制成油画颜料和媒介剂在亚麻布、木板或厚纸板上作画的一种绘画形式。
- 石溪的山水画，在继承传统中，直逼古人，但却不为法缚，面向造化，自出机杼，造妙入神，因而被人们列入逸品和神品之中，是一般画家所不能达到的。
- 1950年代，米罗投入蚀刻和平面印刷的工作，同时也画了许多水彩、粉蜡笔画，及在铜板及纤维板上作画。他的陶瓷雕刻尤为显赫，特别是他的1957-1959年的两项陶壁作品 － 太阳和月亮之壁。
