1. 超现实主义的艺术家为了表达奇发异想，也采用了种种的特殊技法，如、拓印法（frottage）、黏贴法（collage）、自动性技法（automatism）等。此外也采用精细而写实的手法。
2. 在同一平面上，暖色给人以前进感，冷色则使人有后退感，明度高的颜色使人感到近，明度低的颜色使人感到远。
3. 拉斐尔前派运动是辉煌的不幸“拉斐尔前派兄弟会”成立之初就“不想和拉斐尔对艺术犯下的滔天大罪有什么牵连”，拉斐尔在他们那里俨然成了艺术世俗化的一个象征，这也是这个流派名称的由来。
