1. 石涛 (公元1641－约1724年)，俗名朱若极，他本是明皇室的后裔。南明亡国以后，幼小的石涛被人抱着才得以逃命。后削发为僧，法名原济、道济，字石涛。题画别号甚多，如苦瓜和尚、 清湘老人、清湘陈人、大涤子、瞎尊者、阿长、济山僧等等。
2. 野兽主义(Fauvism)是自1898至1908年在法国盛行一时的一个现代绘画潮流。它虽然没有明确的理论和纲领，但却是一定数量的画家在一段时期里聚合起来积极活动的结果，因而也可以被视为一个画派。
3. 拉斐尔前派是兴起于十九世纪中期英国画坛上的一个画派, 1848年, 由英国青年画家罗塞蒂, 汉特, 米雷等人, 发起成立了拉斐尔前派兄弟会, 他们之所以定名为拉斐尔前派是因为他们认为文艺复兴全盛时期及以前的诗歌和艺术是那么尽善尽美
