  1. 十七世纪的欧洲，所谓巴罗克艺术繁荣兴盛，到十八世纪，却转变而为洛可可。洛可可艺术的中心是法国。
  2. 康定斯基的作品在20年代有很重大的改变，由早期的浪漫式幻想转为几何图形的构图，康定斯基在1922年来到包豪斯（Bauhaus）设计学院的时候正是他艺术创作的高潮时期。
  3. 布格罗其作品以高度完整、技法全面和擅长表现多愁善感的题材为特征。在人物造型处理上，为了追求高度的优美，舍弃技法创新，维护官方正统的艺术，排斥其他艺术流派，因而被现代批评家指责为保守的画家。
