1. 亨利·马蒂斯（Henri Matisse,1869-1954）生于法国南部勒卡多小镇。父亲是个商人，母亲曾做过陶瓷厂的画工。
2. 立体派艺术运动1907至1920年间出现于欧洲。他们反对传统的透视法、远景短缩法和造型技法，而是用线条结合成部份的画面，然后再依自己的 个性发展，进而够成立体形。
3. 梵高对于共事的艺术家，则充满了一种天真的热情的深沉的爱。在他有了一段生活经历之后，这种爱使他成为一个美术商人，并产生了进行理论研究的愿望，进而成为比利时煤矿区的一名传教士。
