1. 在印象主义内部存在着两种类型的画家群。一是以德加为代表，一是以莫奈为代表。当然也有的画家介于两种类型之间。
2. 点彩画派正相反，后印象派认为色彩是逐渐过渡的，所以用一个个色点堆砌，即使是一片蓝天，也要用各种蓝色色点堆积。
3. 最具有洛可可风格的是弗朗索瓦·布歇（ FrancoisBoucher，1703—1770）。
