- 绘画中的印象主义是和法国文学中的自然主义流派相对应的。印象主义和自然主义都曾受到哲学上实证主义的影响。
- 唯美主义崇尚古希腊雕刻的情趣, 十九世纪初从雅典运来的巴特农神坛上的古希腊美女雕刻被大英博物馆收藏, 英国人第一次接触到古希腊古典大师的作品, 对十九世纪末英国艺术家产生很大影响。
- 十七世纪的欧洲，所谓巴罗克艺术繁荣兴盛，到十八世纪，却转变而为洛可可。洛可可艺术的中心是法国。
装饰装修 1 2 3 :
- 巴洛克风格打破了对古罗马建筑理论家维特鲁威的盲目崇拜，也冲破了文艺复兴晚期古典主义者制定的种种清规戒律，反映了向往自由的世俗思想。
- 当客厅采用布艺沙发时，不要复杂线条的画作，花卉画也不适合，因为布面沙发通常也有多种碎花的组合。以山水风景画较佳，搭配的原则是：沙发的图案琐碎则画就需要大气，沙发是素色则画就需要活泼，色彩块面小一些。
- 将以水果、花卉和色块组合为主题的抽象画挂在餐厅内是现在颇为流行的一种搭配手法。
