1. 在1905年的秋季沙龙里马蒂斯率领野兽派走上声名大噪之途， 开着的窗户在那次沙龙中他展出了“开着的窗户”和一幅马蒂斯夫人的肖像，题为“戴帽子的妇人”。

3. 挂画也有改变屋子高度比例的视觉效果，如：室内天花板低矮，最好选直向画作；反之则适合横向画作。
