- 印象主义(impression)在19世纪60一70年代以创新的姿态登上法国画坛，其锋芒是反对古典画派和沉缅在中世纪骑士文学而陷入矫揉造作的浪漫主义。
- 《夜晚的咖啡馆》是由深绿色的天花板、血红的墙壁和不和谐的绿色家具组成的梦魇。金灿灿的黄色地板呈纵向透视，以难以置信的力量进入到红色背景之中，反过来，红色背景也用均等的力量与之抗衡。这幅画是透视空间和企图破坏这个空间的逼人色彩之间的永不调和的斗争。作品预示了超现实主义用透视作为幻想表现手段的探索。
- 博斯腾为站立之意，这个名称的由来是因为有三道湖心山屹立于湖中。古代也称这个湖为鱼海，是中国第一大内陆淡水吞吐湖，孔雀河就是从这里发源，流向塔克拉玛干的深处
