- 所谓“拉斐尔前派”是罗赛蒂和亨特、密莱三人所发起组织的一个协会“P、R、B、”所形成的画派，活动时间不长，但在十九世纪英国绘画史上影响不小。
- 布歇的才能被路易十五世的情人蓬帕杜夫人所赏识，画了几幅她的肖像画。蓬帕杜是路易王朝第一美人，而且是才女。
