- 毕加索作为法国现代画派的主要代表, 鸟(图7)是一位最富有创造性的艺术家,一直到去世十年,虽已届八十高龄,但他依然站在艺术创作的前列。
- 石涛 (公元1641-约1724年),俗名朱若极,他本是明皇室的后裔。南明亡国以后,幼小的石涛被人抱着才得以逃命。后削发为僧,法名原济、道济,字石涛。题画别号甚多,如苦瓜和尚、 清湘老人、清湘陈人、大涤子、瞎尊者、阿长、济山僧等等。
- 野兽派吸收了东方和非洲艺术的表现手法,在绘画中注意创造一种有别于西方古典绘画的疏﹑简的意境,有明显的写意倾向。有人把野兽派看作是广义的表现主义运动的一部分。
