- 可以说是奥古斯塔夫·莫罗(Gustave Moreau,1826-1898)塑造了马蒂斯。莫罗曾对马蒂斯说过“在艺术上,你的方法越简单,你的感觉越明显。”
- 石溪诗文书画皆工,绘画成就尤为突出,石溪与石涛(1642—1727)齐名,并称“二石”;又与弘仁(1610-1663)、八大(1626—1705)和石涛四人并称“清初四大画僧”;与程正揆(号青溪)并称“二溪”。
- 后印象派在尊重印象派光色成就的同时,不是片面追求外光,而是侧重于表现物质的具体性、稳定性和内在结构。
